Get to know Hospitalist Dr. Lela Ruck, who serves patients in El Paso, Texas.

Recognized as a well-versed hospitalist, Dr. Ruck’s interests are in caring for the hospitalized patient and helping patients transition from inpatient to outpatient care. She is in practice with The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus. Boardd-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. She then went on to perform her residency in internal medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, and subsequently stayed on as faculty in the division of Hospital Medicine where she was a clinical hospitalist for two years before changing tracts to become an academic hospitalist. As an academic hospitalist, Dr. Ruck has a passion for teaching residents and medical students. She serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Medicine – Transmountain of the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.
